Chuck Taylor All Star white kicks to debut in 2017 Face-Off OOTD Cebu edition

September 26, 2017

White sneakers are taking over the sidewalks. It’s a fashion staple that goes with everything — from minimalist to retro to high fashion.

From the sidewalks to the fashion runway—the rad white kicks, the Chuck Taylor All Star, will be the star of the Inquirer Lifestyle and LOOKbook’s 2017 Face-Off OOTD Cebu edition on September 27 at SM Seaside City Cebu.

For the second time this year, Converse is sponsoring this banner fashion event of Inquirer Lifestyle. Face-Off is now on its eighth year—an iconic event like iconic brand Converse.

Created in 1917, the Chuck Taylor All Star is recognized for its unmistakable silhouette, both high-top and low-cut, a canvas upper, a star-centered ankle patch and a vulcanized rubber sole. Created for the court as the iconic basketball sneakers, but adopted by the rebels and the artists, Chuck Taylor All Star continues to celebrate individuality and self-expression.

CLASSIC REMASTERED

And like the best paradigms, the Chuck Taylor All Star gets better with time. After over a 100 years, the classic Chucks has been updated. It’s the brand’s approach to sneaker innovation. With the release of Chuck Taylor All Star II last 2015, Converse has identified the demands of its core consumers. The original classic Chucks will still be on the shelves but its updated version is a good option for the sneaker freaks.

For the white sneaker lovers, there’s Chuck Taylor All Star II Monochrome, in highs and lows, which has innovative features such as Lunarlon sockliner for superior full foot cushioning and arc support, foam padded collar and non-slip gusseted tongue for 360-comfort and a perforated microsuede liner for breathability during extended periods of wear.

2017 Face-Off OOTD Cebu edition is also sponsored by Swatch, with SM Seaside City, Philippine Airlines, Vivo, and also Salon de Rose.
